Monthly Sewer Customer Service Fee Change
The following tables summarize the costs for all Authority Sewer customers, including a customer fee increase in February of 2026. This fee change is necessary due to steadily increasing costs of all facets of the Department since January of 2017 without any corresponding customer charge, which has resulted in a decline of available cash required to operate the Department.
Please understand that the Authority Board exercised its best fiscal judgment in keeping our customer costs to a minimum while meeting our obligations required by law. We appreciate your patience and understanding of this needed change.
At the December 30, 2025 meeting, the Board of the Authority of the Borough of Charleroi, by resolution, adopted a change of the monthly Customer Service Fee beginning February 1, 2026. This change will be reflected on your March 2026 bill. This fee, as in the past, is based on the size of the water meter, as follows:

A $28.00 monthly CSO surcharge shall continue to be included on all accounts to fund debt service payments and the operation and maintenance funds needed for costs of implementing the DEP mandated CSO-SSO control program.
Fallowfield Township residents shall continue to pay an additional $8.00 monthly debt service charge for the original Fallowfield Sewer System Construction.
NOTE: A 5% penalty will be added to face value of all monthly bills paid after the due date.
